Security Officer Instruction

T2C offers both D and G License Course.

Pursuant to Florida Statute 493, security officers are to be licensed. The Trained 2 Conceal provides the courses for students to then seek their license through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

For officers seeking licensure, please contact Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Trained 2 Conceal does not provide the license. The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing, is the regulatory division where applications must be submitted. You may contact them at (850) 245-5691.

40 Hour "D" License Course

The Florida "D" license is a 40-hour course designed to prepare students for licensure as an unarmed security officer. The student will gain a better understanding of the criminal justice system, including learning about Patrol Techniques, Ethics & Professional Conduct, Florida Chapter 493 Statutes, Emergency Procedures, Fire Prevention, Crime & Accident Prevention Techniques, Terrorism in the United States and much more. Through Trained 2 Conceal’s Private Security Officer Training Programs, the student meets the minimum standards for licensure through the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. This license ensures that the public is served by private security officers who are ethical, qualified and well-trained.

28 Hour "G" License Course

The Florida "G" license is a 28-hour course designed to prepare students for licensure as a armed security officer. The student will review Legal Aspects, Operational Firearms Safety, Mechanical Training, and Firearms Qualification. The student will qualify with a 9mm caliber firearm. (Students are allowed to bring their own weapons but must be inspected and approved by an instructor prior to use on the range).

4 Hour Annual "G" Requalification Course

Trained 2 Conceal also requalifies security officer "G" license holders. Pursuant to F. S. 493, this 4-hour course will review Legal Aspects, Operational Firearms Safety, Mechanical Training, and Firearms Qualification. Security officers will then qualify with their firearm. Trained 2 Conceal’s Private Security Officer Training Programs, the officer can continue to meet the minimum standards for licensure through the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. This license ensures that the public is served by private security officers who are ethical, qualified and well-trained.
